This drawing was made by Jacob van Banchem in 1593, using the map of Joost Janszoon Beeldesnijder from 1570. The titel of the drawing translates to something like: This is a map in which the water-management authority, ring and outline of Amstellant can be seen, with the villages in Utrecht ,and with the dykes and locks of Aemstellant.

The Bancke meer is drawn south of Ouderkerck (on the other side of the Aemstel river), but still north of the road (de kerck laen) to Amsterveen.
